One of the longest beaches on the Budva Riviera
Jaz Beach extends approximately 1,200 metres along the bay of the same name, just 2.5 kilometres west of Budva's centre. Divided by a natural rock into two sections — the longer at around 800 metres and the shorter at around 400 metres — it offers a combination of fine pebbles and sand, with crystal-clear shallow water ideal for families. Along the beach there is a promenade with restaurants and bars, a campsite with a capacity of 2,000 pitches, and a wide range of water sports. Thanks to international music events, including performances by the Rolling Stones in 2007 and Madonna in 2008, the beach has gained global recognition. Lonely Planet included it on its list of Europe's top beaches, and it also holds the prestigious Blue Flag award for quality and cleanliness.

Highlights

The longer section of Jaz Beach, stretching around 800 metres, forms the heart of this destination. Along it runs a well-maintained promenade with restaurants and beach bars, most notably Poseidon and Beach Bar Jedro. The water is shallow and calm, with no strong waves, and the seabed is sandy — ideal for families with children. There is a children's floating aqua park next to the beach, and sun lounger and parasol rentals are available along the entire stretch.

Immediately behind the beach lies the Jaz campsite with a capacity of 2,000 pitches, which has for years been one of the most popular campsites on the Adriatic coast. It is surrounded by Mrčevo Polje — a distinctive natural habitat with halophytic vegetation and small watercourses that flow into the sea. The campsite offers direct beach access and serves as an ideal base for families and campers who want to combine nature with a beach holiday.

Jaz Beach has built an international reputation as one of the most attractive open-air concert venues in the region. It has hosted the Rolling Stones in 2007 before around 30,000 visitors, Madonna in 2008 before around 50,000, as well as Lenny Kravitz, Armand Van Helden and many others. The Sea Dance Festival, held at Jaz from 2014 to 2017, attracted up to 110,000 visitors over three days and was named the best European festival with up to 40,000 daily visitors. A permanent concert stage with supporting facilities and capacity for more than 40,000 spectators has been built on site.

The shorter section of Jaz Beach, approximately 400 metres long and separated from the main section by a natural rock, once functioned as a nudist beach. Today it is open to all visitors and offers a somewhat quieter atmosphere compared to the lively northern section. It is through this part of the beach that you can walk to the boho-style bar Malaya, which can also be reached by boat, making it a favourite destination for those seeking a less commercial vibe.
