Highlights

Porto Montenegro is one of the leading superyacht marinas in the Mediterranean, built on the site of a former Austro-Hungarian military arsenal dating from 1889. The 24-hectare complex accommodates yachts ranging from 12 to 250 metres in length and features over 450 berths. Beyond the marina itself, visitors can enjoy a stroll along the elegant promenade, browse boutiques of leading global brands, dine at restaurants offering Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine, and visit the Naval Heritage Collection. In 2015, Porto Montenegro was named Superyacht Marina of the Year by the international Yacht Harbour Association.

Ljetnikovac Buća is a Renaissance summer residence located in the very centre of Tivat, and one of the most valuable architectural examples on the Montenegrin coast. The building dates from the 16th century and was once the property of the distinguished Kotor patrician family Buća. Today it functions as a museum and gallery preserving and exhibiting the cultural and historical heritage of the Tivat region. Surrounded by a Mediterranean garden, Ljetnikovac Buća is a peaceful retreat in the heart of the modern town and a must-visit for lovers of history and architecture. Contact: +382 32 674 591.

Solila is a special botanical and zoological reserve located in the immediate vicinity of Tivat, on a marshy stretch of coastline. This protected area is home to flamingos, cormorants, and a number of rare bird species that are among the most endangered in Europe. The reserve represents a rare example of untouched nature in close proximity to an urban centre and airport. It is ideal for birdwatching in the early morning hours, when wildlife is most active, and no special entrance ticket is required.

Plavi Horizonti (Radovići) is one of the few sandy beaches on the Montenegrin coast, located approximately 7 km south of Tivat's centre, at the mouth of Boka Kotorska facing the open sea. Its shallow and clear water makes it particularly popular with families with children. The beach is equipped with facilities and restaurants, and a nearby tourist complex offers a variety of water sports. During the summer season, Plavi Horizonti is one of the most visited bathing spots in the Tivat municipality.

Gornja Lastva is an old stone settlement situated on Mount Vrmac, at an altitude of around 300 metres above Tivat. This authentic Mediterranean village preserves architecture and an atmosphere dating back centuries, with restored stone houses that have largely been converted into tourist apartments. From Gornja Lastva, there are exceptional views over Tivat and Boka Kotorska. The village serves as a starting or transit point for hiking trails on Vrmac and is an ideal destination for those wishing to experience rural Mediterranean life just a few kilometres from the centre of a modern town.
