A two-day public holiday honoring Petar II Petrovic-Njegos, Montenegro's greatest poet, philosopher, and ruler. His epic poem "The Mountain Wreath" (Gorski Vijenac) is considered the foundational work of Montenegrin literature and national identity.
Celebrations include poetry readings, literary discussions, cultural events, and wreath-laying ceremonies at his magnificent mausoleum atop Mount Lovcen, which offers sweeping views across the entire country.
