Vezir Bridge Diving (Skokovi sa Vezirovog mosta)

High diving returned to Podgorica on 19 July 2025, when the traditional competition of jumps from Vezirov most (the Vizier's Bridge) into the Morača river was relaunched after a break of more than fifteen years. The bridge deck stands 23 metres above the water — the highest competitive diving platform in the region.

Organised by the diving club "Vezir" together with the City Sports Secretariat, the relaunched event brought international judges to the riverside and a guest appearance by Lorens Listo, the multiple champion of the legendary Mostar bridge jumps. A junior competition from a lower structure gives young divers their own stage.

The spectacle is pure summer drama: divers stepping off a city bridge, seconds of flight, and the green Morača below, with crowds lining the banks and the bridge itself. It revives a beloved local tradition and ties Podgorica into the Balkan family of bridge-diving cities.
