A 500-year-old maritime tradition unique to Perast and the Bay of Kotor. On July 22 each year, locals sail decorated boats laden with rocks and stones to the artificial island of Our Lady of the Rocks, symbolically reinforcing its foundation as their ancestors have done since the 15th century.
The ceremony features a solemn water procession led by the Boka Navy, religious blessings at the island's baroque church, traditional music, folk performances, and a festive celebration with local delicacies.
