The Fish and Wine Feast — Fešta od ribe i vina — is a pair of classic village fisherman's feasts on the Tivat side of the bay: one in Lepetane in late July and one in Krašići in early August. Together they bookend the height of summer with the Boka's oldest formula for a good night.
The recipe is simple and irresistible: grilled fish and mussels straight off the fire, local wine poured freely, and long tables by the water. Lepetane sits at the Verige strait, where the ferry crosses the bay's narrowest point; Krašići faces Tivat across the water on the Luštica side — both are small places that swell to many times their size for one night.
Klapa singers and folk musicians play into the night, and the feasting turns into dancing as the hours pass. These are events made by locals for locals, which is exactly why they are worth seeking out.
Entry is free — you pay only for what you eat and drink. Come hungry, come early for a table, and expect the music to outlast you.
