Danilovgrad本身是Zeta河谷绿意盎然中的一座小镇，研讨会在温暖的月份展开，此时在户外雕凿石材最为适宜。夏日阳光照耀着白色大理石，凿子声回荡在艺术营地之间，形态从石块中缓缓浮现——整个活动散发着一种工作坊式的宁静，与传统展览截然不同。
游客可以在露天环境中观看作品逐渐成形——飞扬的尘土、凿子与洁白的石块——然后看看它们最终的归宿：该研讨会在过去五十年间建立了一座永久性雕塑公园，这是一座年复一年不断扩展的露天博物馆。艺术家驻留项目为受邀雕塑家提供其逗留期间的住所。
The symposium is also a forum for ideas: in 2024 it convened the international conference "Contemporary Sculpture," gathering 17 sculptors and theorists from six countries. 这种亲身实践的石雕与批判性讨论相结合的方式在任何地方都很罕见，更不用说在Montenegro的一个小镇了。
