Bedem Fest is Nikšić's alternative rock festival, staged inside the walls of the medieval Bedem fortress — the old Onogošt stronghold above the city. The 2026 edition, running from 30 July to 1 August, is the festival's seventeenth, and it remains free of charge, as it has been from the start.
The 2026 line-up spans the ex-Yugoslav alternative canon and beyond: Goran Bare i Majke, Eyesburn, Jarboli returning to the stage after ten years, Plejboj, Koi Koi and Vizelj, joined from Italy by blues band Morblus and Milan's Gianluca De Palo. The concerts are accompanied by exhibitions, and a World Music Day event serves as the festival's warm-up.
Few venues in the region can compete with the setting — stone ramparts lit up at night, with guitars echoing off walls that have stood since the Middle Ages. The festival is featured on Montenegro's national tourism portal, montenegro.travel, and has become the summer fixture of the country's rock scene.
Bedem Fest takes place 30 July – 1 August 2026 at the Bedem fortress in Nikšić. Entry is free, no tickets required.
