Telekom Montenegro Business Run

The Montenegro Business Run is a 5-kilometre corporate race with a setting no other business run in Europe can match: the course threads through Šipčanik, the Plantaže estate near Podgorica that ranks as Europe's largest single vineyard. The race is held in early June — the 2025 edition took place on 5 June — when the vines are in full green leaf and the plain around the capital is at its brightest.

Teams of colleagues run between endless rows of vines, starting and finishing at the entrance to the famous underground wine cellar dug into the Šipčanik hill. Company teams compete in dedicated team categories, but the spirit is as much networking as racing — the finish line flows straight into the Run & Fun after-party, where race times matter rather less than the company you keep.

The event has become a fixture of Montenegro's corporate calendar: a morning of sport, a vineyard backdrop stretching to the horizon, and an afternoon of celebration with the country's business community. Recreational runners and serious competitors share the same course, so a team can mix committed athletes with colleagues who mainly came for the after-party, and nobody feels out of place.

For visitors, the run doubles as an unusual way to see the region's most famous vineyard from the inside. The setting means long, straight lines of vines in every direction, and the early-June morning light over the estate gives even a slow lap a certain glamour. Few races anywhere finish at the mouth of an underground wine cellar.

The race is an annual event held in early June at the Šipčanik wine cellar outside Podgorica, with the next edition scheduled for 3 June 2027.
