Bay of Kotor

Kumbor lies directly alongside the Bay of Kotor, which is renowned for its coastline of lagoons, reefs, and sandy coves, crystal-clear beaches, lush vegetation, and dramatic mountain slopes that surround it. From Kumbor beach, the passage of vessels — cruise ships, yachts, and fishing boats — into the inner bay is clearly visible. The bay is one of the most visually impressive natural settings on the Adriatic and serves as the basis for all boat excursions to Perast, Kotor, and the Luštica peninsula.

The city records 250+ sunny days per year and boasts a 6 km-long promenade — Pet Danica — connecting Igalo and Meljine. From the fortress walls, one can enjoy views of the entire bay and a mountain peak of 1,894 m — the highest peak of the Coastal Dinarides.

On the same excursion, it is also possible to visit Mamula fortress, an Austro-Hungarian fortification built on an island in the middle of the sea, as well as Žanjica beach on the Luštica peninsula — one of the cleanest and most accessible wild beaches in the region. Excursions last an average of 4–6 hours and depart throughout the entire summer season.
