Perazića Do Beach

A small 40 m cove below Reževići Monastery, between Budva and Petrovac

Recommended Season: May — October
Overview

Perazića Do Beach is nestled in a small cove below Reževići Monastery, between Budva and Petrovac, in the municipality of Budva. It stretches just 40 metres and is covered with a mix of gravel and sand, surrounded by steep cliffs and Mediterranean vegetation. Its relative isolation means large crowds are rare, making it well suited for a peaceful retreat. A striking visual accent is provided by the unfinished hotel 'As' standing on the left side of the beach, a recognisable landmark for many years. The beach is reached by turning off the main coastal road or by walking along a footpath from Petrovac.

Perazića Do Cove

The cove is 40 metres long and tucked into a deep valley between steep cliffs covered in Mediterranean vegetation. The shore is a mix of fine gravel and sand, and the sea in this sheltered inlet remains calm and clear throughout the season. Due to its isolation and limited capacity, the beach rarely reaches the crowds typical of the nearby Petrovac or Bečići beaches. On the left side of the cove stands the unfinished hotel 'As', a long-time recognisable landmark that draws photographers.

Reževići Monastery

Reževići Monastery stands on a plateau above the beach, surrounded by an old olive grove, and is directly visible from the cove. The complex contains two churches — the Church of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God, whose construction according to tradition dates back to the 13th century, and a church from the early 19th century with a distinctive bell tower. The interior preserves frescoes from the early 17th century, believed to have been painted by the master Strahinja from Budimlja. The Reževići Monastery complex is listed among Montenegro's cultural and historical monuments and is under state protection.

Petrovac—Perazića Do Footpath

The path of about 2 kilometres connects Perazića Do Beach with Petrovac and runs along the coast, offering panoramic views of the sea and surrounding coves. The path is relatively flat and suitable for all ages, passing through pine forests and Mediterranean maquis. It allows visitors to combine Petrovac Beach, the Kastio fortress and Perazića Do cove in a single trip without needing a car. The walk takes no more than 30 minutes in one direction.

Jetty and Water Activities

Next to Perazića Do Beach there is a small boat jetty, making this cove accessible from the sea as well. Small boats and kayaks can be used to explore the surrounding cliffs and hidden coves that are unreachable by land. The clear water and rocky seabed attract snorkelling and diving enthusiasts, who come here for the visibility and the relatively untouched underwater environment. The calm of the cove, sheltered from the wind on three sides, makes it suitable for beginners in water sports.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

The easiest access is by car — turn off the main Budva–Petrovac coastal road at the sign for Reževići; the road is paved and leads directly to the beach. You can also walk from Petrovac along a coastal path of about 2 km.
The shore is rocky and pebbly, which may be uncomfortable for young children. Water shoes are recommended. The sea in the sheltered cove is calm and good for swimming, but the shallow area is not sandy like at Bečići or Petrovac Beach.
Hotel 'As' is an unfinished structure on the left side of the cove that has been under reconstruction for more than a decade. Although it affects the scenery, it has become a recognisable symbol of Perazića Do Beach and a frequent subject for photographers.
The beach has several small hospitality venues with sun loungers and parasols, as well as a small boat jetty. Prices are somewhat higher than at surrounding beaches, so it is advisable to bring your own water and food.
May, June and September are ideal — the sea is warm, the crowds are smaller, and the beach offers the peace that can be hard to find in the height of summer. In the morning the beach is almost always quiet.
