Sutomore sits on the open Adriatic just north of Bar, giving it a hot, sunny beach climate. July highs reach around 32°C, among the warmest on the coast, while the sea warms from 23°C in June to a peak of 26°C in August. Midsummer days bring close to 14 hours of sunshine.
Facing the open sea, summers are dry and bright, with only three rainy days in July. Winters are mild, with January highs near 12°C, though November and December turn wetter, with up to 16 rainy days.

Beach weather runs from June to September, when the sea holds 23–26°C beneath long, sunny days. July and August are hottest and busiest, ideal for the sandy town beach, while June and September stay warm and quieter. Spring and autumn suit relaxed visits with warm days and mild evenings.
Pack swimwear, a sun hat and strong sun cream for the hot, open-coast summer, with light clothing for the heat. Bring a light layer for spring and autumn evenings, and a warm jacket with an umbrella for the wetter winter.
August is warmest at around 26°C, with July and September at 25°C and 24°C. Swimming is comfortable from June to September.
July highs reach about 32°C on the open coast, making it one of the warmest beach towns in the country.
June and September offer a warm sea, strong sunshine and fewer crowds than the July–August peak.
