Gastro Weekend

Gastro Weekend is Tivat's gourmet fixture, held at Synchro in Porto Montenegro. The 2026 edition takes place from 16 to 18 August, according to tivat.travel.

Porto Montenegro makes a natural host for a food event. The marina village on Tivat's waterfront gathers restaurants, terraces and a well-travelled summer crowd, and Synchro puts the whole weekend in one waterfront venue — easy to find, easy to wander into, and surrounded by the marina at its mid-August liveliest. In a country where food events are mostly village fairs, a curated gourmet weekend on a marina waterfront is a different proposition altogether.

Over three days, the programme revolves around food: chef showcases, tastings and stands presenting local produce, all gathered in one place. It is a chance to watch chefs at work, taste what they make and browse what Montenegrin producers bring to the table — from the immediate region and beyond.

The visit works best as a graze. Entry is mostly free, so you can wander through, watch a showcase, and pay only for the tastings that tempt you — a plate here, a glass there, a producer's stand worth lingering over. It suits a slow late-afternoon visit as naturally as a planned evening out.

The timing is smart: mid-August, when the Boka is at its fullest and Porto Montenegro at its most animated. For food-minded visitors it is an easy add to a summer stay — and a rare concentrated look at Montenegrin produce and cooking in a single venue.

Gastro Weekend runs 16–18 August 2026 at Synchro, Porto Montenegro, Tivat. Entry is mostly free, with tastings paid separately — so the weekend costs as little or as much as your appetite decides.
