Podgorica Cultural Summer (Podgoričko kulturno ljeto) is the capital's open-air season — nearly four months of concerts, theatre, literature and film spread across the city. The 2026 edition, the twenty-seventh, runs from 2 June to 22 September at Independence Square, the Banja plateau, the Petrović Palace plateau in Kruševac, Kraljevski park and the KIC Budo Tomović cultural centre.
The music programme ranges from rock tributes to jazz, electronic and classical — hip-hop acts Who See and Random play KIC on 21 June — while the literary festival LiTeritorija opens the season with its tenth edition on 3–5 June. There is theatre, ballet and opera screenings, and an open-air cinema through the summer.
A distinctive strand, "Ljeto u brdima" (Summer in the Hills), takes concerts out of the city altogether, up to Bukumirsko Lake in the Kuči highlands — a rare chance to hear live music beside a glacial mountain lake.
Events run 2 June – 22 September 2026 at venues across Podgorica. Most of the programme is free of charge.
