Šipčanik wine cellar (Plantaže)

Plantaže, Montenegro's largest wine producer, ages its wine in Šipčanik, a former military aircraft hangar more than 30 m underground on Ćemovsko polje. The winding 356-metre tunnel stays at 17–19 °C and holds over two million litres in oak barrels, plus an archive of older vintages. Guided tastings with a sommelier last about an hour; book at least a day ahead.
