Booking requests

How does a booking request work?

Choose your dates and guests and send a request. The host checks availability and confirms or declines it. Until the host confirms, it is only a request — nothing is charged, and you can cancel it free of charge. You can follow the status under My bookings.

How quickly will the host reply?

Response times depend on the host, so we cannot promise a fixed time. If you have not heard anything within 48 hours, write to us and we will contact the host.

What is the difference between a request and an inquiry?

Listings with a price accept booking requests. Listings marked "on request" accept inquiries: you send your dates and a message, and the host replies with an offer.

Is my booking confirmed instantly?

No. Every booking on our platform is confirmed personally by the host. We never show a booking as confirmed before the host has confirmed it.

Prices and payment

Do I pay online?

No. At the moment nothing is charged online. You pay the host on arrival or at pick-up, using the methods the host accepts (cash and/or card). The host gives you a fiscal receipt.

What is included in the price?

The total shown before you send the request includes the host's price, any cleaning or extra-guest fees and a 5% platform service fee. Tourist tax is usually paid separately on site.

Is there a deposit?

Some hosts, especially rent-a-car agencies, ask for a security deposit. It is shown on the listing and handled directly by the host (cash or a card hold).

Contacting the host

How do I contact the host?

After you send a request, the host receives your name, e-mail, phone and message and will contact you. For inquiry listings, the host replies directly to the contact details you gave.

Can you help if I can't reach the host?

Yes. Write to us with the listing name and your dates and our team in Montenegro will contact the host for you.

Cancellations

How do I cancel?

Open My bookings and cancel the request. Unconfirmed requests are always free to cancel. For confirmed bookings, the listing's cancellation policy applies — see the Cancellation Policy page.

Do I have a 14-day right of withdrawal?

No. Accommodation, car rental and transfers booked for specific dates are excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal. The listing's cancellation policy applies instead.

Arrival, registration and tourist tax

Why does the host ask for my passport or ID?

In Montenegro every guest in paid accommodation must be registered with the authorities. The host does this for you on arrival, which is why they need your identity document.

What is the tourist tax?

A local tax per person per night set by each municipality. It is paid on site to the host, who pays it to the municipality. Children and some other groups pay less or are exempt — see the table below.

Tourist tax and guest registration

Tourist tax (boravišna taksa) is set by each municipality and charged per person per night. It is normally not included in the price on the platform and is paid on site to the host.

By law each municipality sets the tax between €0.10 and €1.00 per person per night.

Bijelo Polje€0.60 (1-2*) · €0.80 (3-5*)Rate depends on the accommodation category (1–2★ / 3–5★).

Amounts are informative, based on the municipal decisions listed as sources (checked September 30, 2026). The host will confirm the exact amount. Some private and rural hosts pay the tax as an annual flat fee to the municipality — in that case you may not be charged per night.

Children and exemptions

Children under 12 do not pay tourist tax; young people aged 12 to 18 pay 50%.

Also exempt (with proof): people with severe disabilities, people on medically referred spa or rehabilitation stays, seasonal workers, guests staying more than 30 days in the same accommodation, organised school trips, and people exempt under international agreements or arriving with official humanitarian organisations. Municipalities may add further exemptions.

Guest registration

The host registers every guest: foreign guests with the police within 12 hours of arrival and all guests with the local tourist organisation within 24 hours. You only need to hand over your passport or ID card on arrival.
