EXIT Long Beach Edition is a brand-new festival making its debut in 2026 on Velika plaža outside Ulcinj — twelve kilometres of uninterrupted sand that make it Montenegro's longest beach. The event is part of the EXIT organisation's wider move into Montenegro, bringing its festival know-how to the country's far south.
Velika plaža is unlike any other festival site in the country: a vast, open strip of sand facing the open Adriatic, wide enough that even a big crowd has room to breathe. Ulcinj, Montenegro's southernmost town, has long been the country's most laid-back corner, and the beach's sheer scale makes it feel closer to a wild shoreline than a resort.
The first line-up leans into house and melodic techno: Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex and Argy are joined by live sets from Stephan Bodzin and Monolink. Organisers expect around 20,000 visitors per day over the four days of the festival — a confident scale for a debut edition.
The setting writes the festival's daily script: beach hours through the afternoon, the sun setting over the open sea as the live sets begin, and DJ sets carrying the night with nothing but sand and Adriatic horizon around the stages. It is the kind of backdrop few European festivals can match.
The event is part of a statement of intent — EXIT bringing a major production to the country's far south, and a glimpse of what Velika plaža could become as a festival venue. For a debut edition, it is an unusually confident opening move.
The festival runs 3–6 July 2026 on Velika plaža outside Ulcinj, right at the start of the high season. Entry is free with advance registration, so the only planning the four days require is signing up in time.
