Lake Fest

Lake Fest is the rock festival of Krupac lake near Nikšić — three nights of guitar music on a stage set right on the lakeshore. The 2026 edition runs from 7 to 9 August.

The setting shapes the mood as much as the music. Krupac lake lies just outside Nikšić — a broad, calm sheet of water ringed by low hills — and the festival turns its shore into a self-contained world for three days: a stage right on the waterline, a camping atmosphere around the site, and the lake itself as the cooling-off zone between concerts.

The line-up is built on the region's rock headliners, spread across three consecutive nights by the water. It is a festival about bands rather than spectacle — a straight-ahead regional rock weekend where the guitars are the point, and where the audience knows the songs word for word. Three nights belong to the region's guitar music and the crowd that grew up on it.

The rhythm of a Lake Fest day is its own argument: mornings and afternoons by the lake, swimming and recovering, then the site filling as evening comes and the first band goes on. Audiences settle in for the whole weekend rather than a single show, and among Montenegro's summer festivals it is the one that feels most like a proper festival weekend away.

That completeness is rare on the Montenegrin calendar: not an event grafted onto a town's summer, but a purpose-built festival weekend — tents, lake, stage and three nights of rock, at prices kept deliberately accessible.
