About

Auto camp Lara is located in Kostanjica, a peaceful place on the shores of the Bay of Kotor. It is set among centuries-old chestnut and laurel trees, and the beach is right in front of the camp – pebbly, tidy, and refreshed by the cold springs of the Morinj river. The view stretches across the clear sea towards Risan and the surrounding mountains, and dolphins can sometimes be seen in the bay.

The camp is in the yard of an old stone house from the 18th century, and it has existed on this spot since the 1970s. Host Luka and his family welcome guests like friends, with tips for excursions, and many campers return here year after year.

At Lara there is space for tents, caravans, and camper vans. The area is small and intimate, and the camp operates only during the main summer season, so places fill up quickly and advance booking is recommended.

Every morning fresh bread arrives at the camp, and often vegetables, fruit, or fish from local households. A few minutes' walk away are restaurants with local cuisine, a supermarket, and a bus station with connections to Kotor. Within a half-hour drive are Perast, Tivat, Porto Montenegro, Kotor, and Budva.

Lara is not a luxury camp in the classic sense – there are no concrete terraces or large pools. Its values are clear sea, shade, a relaxing view, and the people who run it.

Activities in the area: cycling, mountain trails, and fishing.
