Camp Veruša

Camp Veruša is located in the untouched nature of central Montenegro, near the Komovi mountains, about fifty kilometers from Podgorica. The camp spreads over 3,000 m² along a crystal-clear mountain river, surrounded by dense forest and the scent of pines – a place to rest from the city bustle and enjoy clean mountain air.

The camp has three bungalows made of natural materials, with warm wooden interiors and a veranda overlooking the river. Within the complex there is a mini restaurant where traditional homemade food is prepared every day: fresh trout, local cheese, eggs from the garden, and kačamak. Guests especially remember breakfast accompanied by the sound of the river.

In the surroundings there are numerous mountain trails leading to viewpoints overlooking Komovi and the Veruša valley. The river flowing through the camp is rich in fish and popular among anglers. The area is suitable for cycling, and more and more visitors come for mountain horseback riding and exploring hidden valleys. Bukumirsko Lake, a lovely spot for walking and summer swimming, is about a twenty-minute drive away.

Evenings are spent by the campfire, with local wine and the sounds of nature. Guests praise the hosts who welcome every traveler as a friend, as well as the food and peaceful atmosphere. The camp suits families, but also motorcyclists who need a safe and pleasant break – whether for a day, a weekend, or a longer stay.
