Camping Izvor

Camping Izvor is located at the northern exit from Podgorica, in Smokovac, about six kilometers from the city center, right at the entrance to the Morača canyon. It is close enough to the city for easy sightseeing, yet still in nature, with views of the mountains and the canyon. It suits travelers for whom Podgorica is a stopover, as well as those who want to spend a few days exploring the city and its surroundings.

The camping area is part of the Hostel Izvor complex and is primarily intended for campers and caravans. Electricity and water hookups are available at the pitches, and guests use the toilets and hot showers within the complex. Wastewater disposal is also possible, and Wi-Fi is available. The campsite is simply arranged, without unnecessary amenities, but with everything you need.

Below the complex flows the Morača, which can be reached by a short walk – clean water, rocks, and the steep sides of the canyon provide refreshment on summer days. The surroundings are suitable for walking and cycling. The city center can be reached by bicycle, car, or taxi, and the location along the main road makes it easy to continue towards Kolašin, Bjelasica, and other parts of the north.

Within the hostel, rooms and apartments, common areas, and parking are available, which is convenient for groups where not everyone travels by camper. Simple homemade dishes can be tried on site, and the hosts are happy to give advice about excursions and help with organizing transportation. An interesting excursion is a train ride from Podgorica towards Kolašin, with views of the Morača canyon.
