About the event

Sea Dance Festival is Montenegro's flagship beach music festival and a member of the EXIT festival family since 2014. After editions at Jaz Beach (2014–2017) and Buljarica (2018–2022), and a 2023 move to Croatia, it returns to Montenegro in 2026 following a three-year break — this time with a new home on Bečići Beach, just south of Budva.

Bečići gives the festival a fitting new stage: a long sweep of sand backed by hotels and pines, with room for stages, crowds and the warm-up programme that precedes the main event. The Budva riviera at the end of August is still in full summer mode — warm sea, long evenings and a crowd looking for one more big night before the season turns.

The 2026 edition is headlined by Charlotte de Witte, Peggy Gou, Hugel and Enrico Sangiuliano, while John Newman presents his new live show. The main programme runs over four nights on the sand, preceded by warm-up events along the beach from 24 to 27 August — a full week of music for those who arrive early.

The festival day has its own arc: beach hours through the afternoon, the site coming alive as the sun drops, and the headline sets playing with the Adriatic a few steps from the stage, the crowd barefoot on the sand late into the night.

Sea Dance has real pedigree: it was named Best Medium-Sized European Festival at the 2015 European Festivals Awards, and at its peak in 2015 drew around 110,000 visitors. Its defining image has not changed — the party on the sand, one of the last big beach gatherings of the Mediterranean summer — and its 2026 homecoming is one of the season's headline stories.

The main festival takes place 28–31 August 2026 on Bečići Beach, with warm-up events from 24 to 27 August. Entry is free with advance registration through the official website, seadancefestival.me.
