The climate

Tivat lies on a sheltered stretch of the Boka bay, giving it a warm, settled Mediterranean climate. July highs reach around 31°C, while the sea warms steadily from 23°C in June to a peak of 26°C in August. Midsummer days are long and bright, with almost 14 hours of sunshine.

Protected by the surrounding mountains, the bay stays mild in winter, with January highs near 12°C. The flip side is a wet cool season, with 14–15 rainy days a month from November through January. Spring and autumn are mild and green, offering some of the most comfortable sightseeing weather of the year.
