Before you go

Plan the day

Bring enough water, especially in summer when temperatures are high.

Use sun protection — the paved trail offers little shade.

For a one-way route, use two vehicles or arrange a return trip — one parking area is at the start near Žanjice, and two are at the finish.

In the heat of summer, start in the morning to avoid midday temperatures.

Comfortable walking shoes are completely sufficient — mountaineering equipment is not necessary.

Be careful of traffic because the surface is asphalt and the trail may share space with vehicles.
