Čanj is a small cove on the open Adriatic between Bar and Petrovac, with a warm, sunny beach climate. July highs reach around 30°C, cooled by sea breezes, while the water warms from 23°C in June to a peak of 26°C in August. Peak summer days bring almost 14 hours of sunshine.
Sheltered by hills yet facing the open sea, summers are dry and settled, with just three rainy days in July. Winters are mild, with January highs near 10°C, while November brings the wettest spell of the year.

The best beach weather runs from June to September, when the sea holds 23–26°C under long sunny days. July and August are warmest, ideal for Čanj's sandy beach, while June and September stay warm with a quieter feel. Spring and autumn offer mild, peaceful days for a relaxed seaside break.
Bring swimwear, sandals and sun cream for the summer, with light clothing for the heat and a cover-up for evenings. A light jacket suits spring and autumn, while winter needs a warm coat and umbrella for the rain.
