Ulcinj is Montenegro's southernmost town and one of its sunniest and driest, a genuinely Mediterranean corner near the Albanian border. July highs reach around 31°C, with only two rainy days that month, and the long sandy Velika Plaža catches sea breezes. The water warms to a peak of 26°C in August.

Beach and swimming weather runs from June to September, when the sea sits between 23°C and 26°C beneath near-constant sun. July and August are hottest and driest, ideal for the long sandy beaches, while June and September stay warm and quieter. Spring and autumn are pleasant for exploring the old town and salt flats.
