Ada Bojana and the Mouth of the Bojana River

At the very southern end of Velika Plaža, the Bojana River splits into two channels and forms a triangular sandy island known as Ada Bojana, which marks the border between Montenegro and Albania. The island offers a more relaxed pace, warmer river water suitable for swimming and kayaking, and restaurants where fish and shellfish are grilled on open fires immediately after being caught. Ada Bojana is also home to the only nudist camp in Montenegro, which has been attracting domestic and international visitors for decades in search of privacy and a connection with nature. The sight of the river flowing into the sea is one of the most striking natural experiences on the Montenegrin coast.
