The surface is mostly gravel (60%), followed by asphalt/concrete (22%) and dirt/forest trail (18%). The trail is marked and leads past the peaks Veliki Kurozeb, Katuničko brdo, Topovi, Paljokina kosa, Suvovrh and Dekovac. Plan the day

Prepare for a multi-day tour: bring hiking gear, food and spare clothing.

Use hiking boots and poles, as 60% of the route is gravel.

You can refill water at fountains and springs along the trail, but also bring your own supply.

Divide the tour into daily stages and plan accommodation in advance; along the route there are the Ckara and Džambas huts.

Before departure, check the weather forecast and avoid thunderstorms in open and higher areas.

The trail is long and very demanding; in mountain sections fog, rain and sudden weather changes are possible. Follow the trail markings, plan stages and do not separate from the group. In case of emergency, call 112.

    Due to the altitude of up to 1881 m, the best conditions are from June to September. In winter months, higher parts can be under snow and considerably more demanding.
