Highlights

Trsteno Beach is set in a cove that is deeply recessed into the land, surrounded by cliffs that block the winds — bura and jugo. Thanks to this natural protection, the sea here is calm and warm throughout the entire summer season, with no strong waves. The sandy bottom is a feature that sets it apart from most of the pebbly beaches of the Budva Riviera. The gentle slope into the water extends up to 50 metres from the shore, making it one of the most popular family beaches in the region.

Just 2.5 km from Trsteno lies Jaz Beach, one of the longest beaches on the Montenegrin coast. Jaz Beach has received numerous international quality awards and gained particular fame as the host of the Sea Dance Festival, which draws music lovers from around the world year after year. Jaz has two sections — one approximately 800 metres long and another around 400 metres — offering a wide range of amenities from watersports equipment rental to beach bars. Combining these two beaches in a single day out gives you a complete experience of the Budva coastline.

In the immediate vicinity of Trsteno, just a few kilometres in the direction of Budva, lies Ploče Beach, known for its rocky formations and lively party scene during the summer. This entire stretch from Jaz to Ploče forms a compact cluster of beaches served by a seasonal bus from Budva departing from Mediteranska Street, running every hour from 8:00 to 20:00. This allows visitors to explore several visually distinct coves and beaches on the northern part of the Budva Riviera in a single day, without needing a car.
What to do

The shallow, calm sea and white sand are ideal for relaxed swimming and sunbathing.

Catamaran rental and jet-ski are available directly on the beach during the season.

The clear azure sea and rocky sides of the cove are well-suited for snorkelling along the shore.

The calm cove sheltered by cliffs is suitable for recreational fishing from the shore or a boat.
