Unlike the other 17 glacial lakes of Durmitor, Sušičko undergoes a complete disappearance every year — during the summer months the lake dries up to a bare riverbed, only to fill with water again in spring and autumn. The Sušica river canyon surrounding the lake provides a dramatic mountain setting with steep cliffs and dense native forest.
