Kalardovo is a sandy beach approximately 250 metres long, located 3 km from the centre of Tivat, near Tivat airport and the Flower Island. The shallow sea and calm atmosphere make it particularly suitable for families with young children. The beach is equipped with showers, changing cabins, sunbeds and umbrellas, and a restaurant serving seafood specialities is located right on site. Due to its distance from the urban bustle and smaller number of visitors, Kalardovo ranks among the excursion beaches where it is easy to find a free spot even during the peak summer season.

Kalardovo Beach is characterised by a gradually sloping seabed, making it one of the safest bathing spots in the Tivat municipality. The water is calm and warm throughout summer, with no significant waves or currents. It is precisely these characteristics that make Kalardovo especially recommended for families with young children — children can safely swim and explore the seabed with a mask and snorkel without any risk. A lifeguard service is present throughout the entire bathing season.
Just a few hundred metres from Kalardovo Beach lies the Flower Island (also known as Ostrvo Mihajlo), one of the most tourist-attractive points in the Tivat municipality. The island is known for its Mediterranean and exotic vegetation and once served as a botanical garden. A walk to the island or a short boat ride offers a completely different experience from the beach, with the scents of Mediterranean plants and views over the Bay of Kotor. Combining a visit to the beach with the Flower Island makes Kalardovo an ideal full-day destination.
A distinctive feature of Kalardovo Beach is its position immediately adjacent to the end of the runway of Tivat Airport (TIV), one of Montenegro's two international airports. From the beach, you can clearly see planes landing and taking off, giving this location an extraordinary character. In addition to the aircraft, the view from the beach encompasses the Bay of Kotor with its surrounding mountains. In the evening, towards the west, the view of the sunset behind the hills above Tivat is particularly attractive for photographers.
Kalardovo Beach is one of the few beaches in the Tivat municipality that offers a basketball court and a beach volleyball court alongside the swimming area. These facilities attract younger visitors and families who want an active day by the sea. The courts are available without reservation throughout the entire bathing season. The restaurant at the beach offers refreshing drinks and snacks between activities, making Kalardovo a complete sports and recreation destination by the sea.
