On either side of the sandbar leading to the Sveti Stefan peninsula, two beaches stretch out — the Eastern and the Western. Both beaches are pebbly, with predominantly pink and reddish pebbles that shimmer uniquely in the sunlight. The total length of the beach is approximately 750 metres, with a width of up to 30 metres. The entry into the sea is gradual and gentle, and the water is exceptionally clear and clean. From both beaches, there is a direct view of the stone houses and terracotta rooftops of the peninsula — a backdrop that has made Sveti Stefan the most photographed spot in Montenegro.
The Sveti Stefan peninsula is one of the most exclusive resorts on the Mediterranean, created by adapting stone houses built more than five centuries ago to protect the population of surrounding villages. Until 1954, only 20 inhabitants lived on the island, after which the Yugoslav government transformed it into a luxury resort that attracted world stars such as Orson Welles, Kirk Douglas, Elizabeth Taylor, and Sophia Loren. The peninsula is connected to the mainland by a narrow stone sandbar, and visitors can walk up to the iron gates and enjoy views of the historic architecture and the clear Adriatic Sea.
Just 10–15 minutes' walk along the coastal path through Miločer Park from Sveti Stefan Beach lies Kraljičina Beach — one of the most beautiful and peaceful beaches on the Montenegrin coast. The 120-metre-long beach is set in a sheltered cove surrounded by pine and olive forest, giving it an almost private atmosphere. It was named after Queen Marija Karađorđević, for whom it was a favourite beach, and nearby stands Villa Miločer, built in the 1930s as the summer residence of the Serbian royal family. The beach is pebbly, the sea is clear, and the tranquillity and greenery make it a perfect escape from the crowds.
One of the finest views of the Sveti Stefan peninsula is not from the beach itself, but from the E65 highway that passes above. From this viewpoint, the entire panorama is visible — the stone houses and terracotta rooftops of the peninsula, the two beaches with their pink pebbles, the crystal-clear Adriatic Sea, and the mountain ranges in the background. It is from this very spot that the most famous photographs of Montenegro are taken, appearing on postcards and tourism campaigns. Sunset from this location is particularly spectacular, as golden light bathes the entire peninsula.
In the immediate vicinity of Sveti Stefan, below the highway leading towards Petrovac, lies Crvena Glavica with seven smaller beaches of varied surfaces — from sand to pebbles and stone. Some of the beaches are occasionally used by nudists. The beaches are set in peaceful coves, less visited than the main beaches of the Budva Riviera, and are ideal for those seeking a quieter spot by the sea. Access is possible from the main road, and the natural surroundings and clear water make Crvena Glavica a worthwhile excursion for anyone staying in the Sveti Stefan area.

The beach is accessible throughout the day with no opening hour restrictions.
Entry to the public beach is free. Renting sun loungers and umbrellas costs 30-50 EUR per pair (front row). Free space for your own towel is available at no charge.
Paid parking immediately next to the beach: around 2-4 EUR/hour for a passenger car. It is recommended to park along the E65 main road and walk to the beach (about 15 min).
Access to the beach involves steps and steep paths from the main road. The beach is not fully adapted for people with reduced mobility.
